Review: Storm Front (The Dresden Files #1) by Jim Butcher

4 Stars
I loved this book, this is the second time I have read it, but it did take me a bit to get into it, the first time I picked it up I decided to stop, not even two chapters into it, it just wasn't doing it for me, but then picked it up again and I'm glad I did.
In it we have Harry Dresden, a Wizard for hire, and when the police has a case that runs more in the paranormal area he gets the call. And when he gets a call from Murphy on the P.D to work on a murder case he's glad, because business isn't really booming for him.
Harry who gets his wizardry skills from his mother, is in the middle of more than one thing that could potentially get him killed, and while I really loved this book it was kind of slow in some parts. Kind of like building up to more in books to come. I liked Harry in the general sense he was a mixture of old school and new, something that you don't really see in the characters of most books. The world Jim Butcher created was truly unique, I have never been to Chicago but it sounds pretty cool from the eyes of a wizard, I look forward to more from this author.
