As I stated this is my second time with this book, and it again does not disappoint.
This book is about Jack Francisco, a surgeon. Who after witnessing a murder because of a cookie, is put into protective custody. In comes D, a hitman who is blackmailed into killing Jack. But when finally meeting Jack, he finds he can not kill an innocent man, and in each other they find very unlikely allies.
I loved how D was so uncaring but eventually began to trust Jack and how the relationship began to form and grow. Also, I have heard that some people didn't like the book because of D's profession, me it didn't bother me, I may have even liked it more because of it.

I found upon re-reading this book I got a little more insight about the writing in general, which made me appreciate how great of a book it really is, and how well the author has written the book. Those are things I never really thought of before, of how the author molded the two characters how they began to change through the book as individuals and with each other.
Also I feel I must mention the epilogue, as many people said it was way to long, me I liked it, but did kind of think it sounded like the beginning of a new book.

I will not say anymore on the book except that is a book you definitely have to pick up, especially for anyone that is a fan of the genre and I will also tell you to read Mandi's review. I think she does a very good job of laying it out there for everyone.
