Review: Crocodile Tears (Alex Rider #8) by Anthony Horowitz

5 Stars
Series: Alex Rider
Pages: 385
Read Count: 2
A rich maniac has learned there is millions to make in charity and that the bigger the disaster the more money comes in.

And that is what he is going to do, create one of the biggest disasters known to man, using genetically modified wheat that will release a virus so potent that it will kill millions of people and animals in one day.

Alex never gets a break, for a whole year of his life he has been beaten, shot, kidnapped, and put through things by MI6 and bad luck, that most fourteen year old's would not have survived. But Alex has prevailed through the harsh trials and it is now New Year, which he is spending in Scotland with the Pleasure's family. A new year, with new resolutions. No more MI6, no more nothing, Alex would just be Alex from now on. A normal boy.

As if that could ever happen.

I really loved this book, we finally see Alex accept that part of him really does want to be a spy (Well maybe not in those words exactly.) and we see the usually, action-adventure, the hint of mystery, suspense, ect. But this time I do think it had a different leave because we all thought this would be the last book, especially from how it end. It would have been a great close for the series, but also disappointing, because I love the series. So I am glad I will be reading Scorpia Rising next.
Again, loved it and I highly recommend not just this book the whole entire Alex Rider series.
