Review: Eagle Strike (Alex Rider #4) by Anthony Horowitz

5 Stars
Series: Alex Rider
Read Count: 2
Pages: 322
In this heart pounding fourth installment of Alex Rider, Alex has a run in with the man who killed his uncle Ian Rider he gets suspicious and follows him. This sets off a series of events leading to Alex being suspicions of Sir Damian Cray, a pop star, anti-violence, peace activist and one of the most famous men in the world.

He goes to MI6 with his thoughts the only problem is they don't believe him. So Alex is on his own to discover the truth that lies behind all the glamor that Cray presents to the world. What he finds is a man with evil, twisted mind that is willing to sacrifice anything for his beliefs.

This book like the last had action and was sometimes intense with mystery thrown in as well. But I do think that we see a lot more action in this one than the last. Another thing I have to mention that the assassin, Yassen Gregorvic, really surprised me, when it came down to it he was not at all what I was expecting.

We also see a lot more open possibilities for Alex though they may not be obvious just yet.

I have said it more than once and I will say it again, the Alex Rider series, is one of the best series I have ever read. Anthony Horowitz really presents him to us in a way that we can relate to no matter the age of the reader.

I definitely urge any Alex Rider fans to read this book, as well as new reads or ones who have been putting it off this is a must read.
