Long series, short series or single titles?

This Weeks Question: Do you prefer to read long series, short series/trilogy's or single title novels?
I really love to read long series that way I can spend a lot of time with a certain set of characters but I do not mind shorter ones nor single titles.

Please leave your answer in the comment section below! :D

If you would like to suggest a question for next week, please email it to me with your name/site so I can accredit the question to you!

  1. As a self-professed readaholic I enjoy both long series and singles. With the long series I tend to become emotionally invested in the characters and each year I eagerly await the new installment (kind of like the annual Christmas newsletter you know). With the standalone books, if I enjoy the story, I find myself wishing it were a series. A really good series is like a friend that lives far away and you only get to speak with each other once and awhile, but when you do it is great!

  2. Denise, I know exactly what you mean!! Especially the emotionally invested part. Like with the Anita Blake series. lol

  3. A good long book series is my reading best friend Holly, it has been so long since I read a stand alone book it is not funny and shorter series are just not as compelling to keep up with... My books are "written soap operas" and without them the world would be a darker place for me!
