Reveiw: Scorpion by Aleksandr Voinov

Blurb part from Goodreads
"Kendras is a casualty of war: injured, penniless, and quite possibly the last surviving member of the only family he's ever known—the elite fighting force known as the Scorpions. When a steel-eyed stranger offers him medicine and shelter in exchange for submission and a secret task, Kendras has no choice but to accept. He is a Scorpion; he’ll do whatever it takes to survive."

I absolutely loved this book!! From the very beginning when I was brought into the world the author had created I was in love and I didn't want to leave!! There was a lot of action going on in the books as well as some pretty hot sex, and like what I have read from this author before it was very..I guess original sex scenes? If that makes sense. They didn't seem planned, kind of like they just played out between the characters.

I loved Kendras from the start, which is saying something as I usually like to get to know my characters a little more before I decide if I like them or not. But that was not so with him, he just had a quality about him which I found very addictive likable.

Grey eye's or Steel, I liked him and was rooting for him but then I have to say my opinion of him changed slightly. Not really in a bad way either, just, I guess he didn't live up to my expectations.

The Scorpion's Officer, known through the first/middle of the book as just "The Officer", really surprised me. As well as confused me. There was a lot going on what with Kendras searching for him and the other Scorpion's and well.. you will see when you read it. But I really hope that in the second book (Please, please, please???) we will see more of the two (him and Kendras) and find out what is going to happen between them.

I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who has read the Special Forces series. It is different from the series, yes, but in no way is it less wonderful/awesome/addictive!!
