Review: Circus of the Damned (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter #3) by Laurell K. Hamilton

4 Stars
Circus of the Damned
Series: Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter
Author: Laurell K. Hamilton
Pages: 336
Read Count: 3
In this third installment of Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, a rouge vampire is on the loose and killing St. Louis citizen in way of challenging the Master of the City, Jean-Claude. And Anita gets caught up in the middle.

I really liked this one, to me the series is just getting better and better. Anita is as she always is kick-ass and we have another appearance of Edward in this one. Is it just me or does everyone else love him too?

This book has lots of mystery and suspense plenty of fighting action that makes the plot fast paced and the book a real page turner that I didn't want to put down once I started it.

Jean-Claude was as he ever is-- still trying to get Anita but one thing that I really loved about this book is, Richard Zeeman. A very handsome junior high-school teacher who is also 'caught up with the monsters'. I absolutely love how he and Anita met, you have to see the irony in that what with where they meet and what is going on. So we have hints of something going on there or what might come.

The ending was very.. neat, I guess you would say. I mean it wasn't bad but I feel maybe there should have been more detail on a couple of things but I have a feeling it will be picked back up in the next novel.

As with the others I would recommend this book to all paranormal book lovers.
