Review: The Killing Dance (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #6) by Laurell K. Hamilton

4 Stars
Read Count: 3
Pages: 400
In this sixth Anita Blake novel someone has taken a price out on Anita's head. Now with professional killers after her she turns to Jean-Claude and Richard for help. And, Edward-- also known as Ted Forester-- come into town for all the action.

I really liked this one. Anita is the same-- yet different. I think we see that from the very beginning. And I can't tell if it happened all at once or have been slowly happening through the previous books.

Now I think this is already know but I will be as vague as possible...Anita finally has sex with one of her men--yes you probably know who but I will not say who, just because. Now I have to say that I did see this coming, maybe not how it happen or events preceding but I knew it would happen eventually.

I am kind of sad--disappointed?--that she did not have sex with the other first though. I mean, I guess I saw it happening with her other man first.

On to the plot; It was good. Fast paced, really easy to get into, loads of action, things I have come to expect from the author.

Again, in this one we get more Edward and for those of you who have read my previews reviews for the first books, know I just can not get enough of him! But then who can? :)

I would recommend to Anita Blake/Laurell K. Hamilton lovers.

  1. This is such a wonderful series - I eagerly wait every year for the new installment and am chomping at the bit for the coming of June's release. I have a hard time deciding which book I liked best in the series but for some reason I always come back to Narcissus in Chains - nope can't decide - happy reading!

  2. LOL I always come back to Narcissus in Chains as well! I think it is because we are introduced to, Micah! :)
