Review: Invincible (Chronicles of Nick #2) by Sherrilyn Kenyon

4 Stars
Series: Chronicles of Nick
Author: Sherrilyn Kenyon
Pages: 420
After reading and loving the first book, , I could not wait to read this second novel and I have to say it did not let me down!

In Invincible we pick up with Nick pretty much where we left off in the first one after the zombie attack.

Nick just can not get a break, after the previous events he is immediately thrown back into the world of demons, zombies, shapeshifters and other things that he doesn't even want to think about much less deal with.

More so, a new principle has been hired at his school he liked him even less than the last, which I did not think was possible and after the death of the football coach a new one has been taken on as well, only this one has a strange interest in Nick being on the team.

Of course we have the girl, Kody, added into the mix, only she is throwing mixed signals like a broken red light, and maybe not who he thinks she is.

The author again reminds me why I keep coming back to her in this novel. After reading the Dark-Hunter series and loving them, I was very excited when I heard the Chronicles of Nick was coming out. I had always loved him in the Dark-Hunter series and thought it would be great to find out more about him, plus I love his sarcasm, I spent half the book laughing especially when he was around Grim.

The book is very easy to get drawn into, the plot flowing easily and at a good pace. We also have little hints of what might come in the next book, Infamous which comes out February 2012!

I think I would recommend this one to anyone who liked Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series and YA novels, especially for anyone who loved Nick.

  1. It is a bad thing that I still have both Infinity and Invincible on my book shelves TBR Holly, however glad to hear a positive spin on this because so many people are not thrilled with Nick's books...
