Review: Blood Noir (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter #16) by Laurell K. Hamilton

3 Stars
Blood Noir
Author: Laurell K. Hamilton
Pages: 340
Read Count: 3

In this installment of the Anita Blake series, Anita is going with Jason as he visits his father--for moral and emotional support as his father is dying. The trip goes bad from the get-go and only gets worse as the ancient vampire 'Marmee Noir' makes a move on Anita and some how cuts off her tie with Jean-Claude, her master.

I liked this Anita Blake book as the book is focused on Jason and I have always liked Jason in the series. So it was very interesting to learn more about where he came from how he grew up, his parents and of course ex-girlfriends.

Though I liked the book and there was very yummy sex in it between Jason and Anita--of course. I have to say again I only 'liked' it. There was something about this installment that makes it very different than the authors previous novels in this series--not a big difference something minute, just the feel of the novel as a whole really.

One thing that I have to admit disappointed me in this book was Richard. Yes, I know maybe I should just stop being even a little surprised at this but I just can't help it. I am wait for his big revelation; where he will finally come to terms with everything. Don't laugh, it might happen.

I would recommend this novel to anyone who has read and liked the last few previous Anita Blake books.
