Book Description from Goodreads
"The inspiration for the Sci Fi channel television series

In Chicago, someone has been killing practitioners of magic, those incapable of becoming full-fledged wizards. Shockingly, all the evidence points to Harry Dresden's half-brother, Thomas, as the murderer. Determined to clear his sibling's name, Harry uncovers a conspiracy within the White Council of Wizards that threatens not only him, but his nearest and dearest, too..."

*Spoilers below!*

I loved this book! It seems The Dresden Files just keep getting better and better!

In this novel, White Night, someone is killing women that though have magic; do not have enough to become wizards. We are led on a great mystery finding things about and eventually get led to Harry's own half-brother Thomas! Not only this but the ones out killing trying to strike distrust in everyone with the White Council as well.

One another plot related note we also learn more about the suspected treachery in the White Council and we definitely get hints of more to come concerning the war between them and the Red Court of vampires. Though I am curious as to what the Black Court vampires take on the whole thing is. I know that they don't like Harry but we haven’t really heard anything about them and the war since the last book Mavra was in.

We have lots of characters in this novel that were in previous books. Such as, Gentleman Johnny Marcone! I love him and he is even better in this book than in the last ones he was in!

Murphy of course--I still say there is something going to happen their. We also learn of the consequences in her job from when she disappeared from the police force in the last novel.

Elaine. The name alone is enough but I will expand. Harry's first love, we get more of her in this book than the last, I think or maybe it is just we learn a little more about her. So far she has only been in one other book, though we have had mention of her in other books as well.

Thomas of course we finally learn what he has been keeping from Harry in this novel also, Lara and the rest of the Raith family and White court of vampires.

Lastly we also have Molly in this novel as well. Harry's apprentice. From this book I have to wonder if she will be in future books in less than just mentioning her or just passing though so to speak.

Altogether the above make for a very explosive novel pack full of mystery suspense, action and maybe a little sexual tension as well.

I would recommend this novel to anyone who has read and liked the previous novels and anyone who is looking for a good read but do recommend picking up the previous books in the series first.
