Review: Grave Secret (Harper Connelly #4) by Charlaine Harris

5 Stars
Grave Secret
Series: Harper Connelly, #4
Author: Charlaine Harris
Genre: Mystery, Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, Paranormal, Supernatural, Romance, Adult
Hardcover
Pages: 306
Read Count: 2

In this final Harper Connelly novel Harper and her manager/lover Tolliver are close to where they grew up to do a job and take the time to visit their little sisters.

As with the last three books though, this job proves to be just as dangerous to them, and being so close to where they grew up bring all the bad memories to the forefront--especially that of their sister Cameron who went missing eight years ago and was never found, nor was her body.

Soon Tolliver learns his father is out of jail through his older brother Mark when he visits their hotel room, begging for him to forgive and forget Tolliver winds up shot and in the hospital. But was the unknown shooter aiming for him; or Harper. When another shot is taken at her she has to think the later.

I really enjoyed this novel-my favorite of the series, overall, I think.

Mostly I think that was because though we have heard about Tolliver and Harper's family life before in the past5 novels in this one we really get to learn about their life's and how everything came to be the way it is now.

Among other things though, the mystery that is common with this series really hooked me not to mention the suspense as well; and the family emotions that we have amped it up even more so.

Though I am sad to see the series end and would love another book I have to say as ending go--this one was worth the read.

I would recommend this novel to anyone looking for a good mystery/suspense,  but recommend reading the previous novels in the series first.
