This weeks question:

"It's lent and time to give up your favourite things for 40 days and 40 nights (or sneak some when no one is looking!) What series of books would you have to give up, and why?"
My Answer:

Wow, that is a tough one. I would really hate to give up any--I love book series'! Do I have to..? Sigh fine,  The Night Huntress series. (I could re-read those over and over again, but even I--while big on re-reading (love it!) like to have some time in-between the reads, lol, so I think I could do it. 40 days and 40 nights, how hard could that be?

(I have no idea what this 'lent' is just so you know.)

What about you? Care to tell us your dirty little secret?

  1. Lent 101: (lol) Lent is a Christan/Catholic holiday where people choose to give up something that is important to them to show their appreciation for Jesus' sacrifice. A lot of people who aren't devout Christians participate because it has become more of a popular culture thing now.

Phew! and there you have it! I haven't really given up anything for Lent for awhile, much less books! I put on a brave face for my post, but I doubt I could really do it. Night Huntress huh? I love, love, loved the first books, but the recent ones have been pretty disappointing. I'm looking forward to Vlad's series!

    1. Wow. Lol Thank you for explaining, Jess; I have never heard of such a ling before yesterday!

I have liked all of the books, but I kind of think the series should have ended at books four. I mean I love that there are new ones, I love reading about Cat and Bones, but the fourth one felt like it should have been the end to me.

  3. wow? Seriously? I could never give that up, but then again I haven't caught up yet. I've just read the first book so I can't stop there and wait for 40 days before next. I'm sure someone will explain Lent better than me so I 'm not even going to try.

  6. That is one series I'm not that addicted to (I know I'm in the minority). You are very brave.
