Book Description from Goodreads
"When Alister Rowan agreed to be the bait for a vampire hunt, the last thing he expected to happen was for the vampire to want him. Then again, the real last thing he expected was that he'd want him back."

This was previously a free read online that the author had written and then taken down—but getting so many people asking if they could read it though, which she offered for a time, she finally decided to just publish it so people could go buy it and she could focus on her main works (under another name).

I admit I was one of those people who asked if they could read it, and when I found out she had published it went to buy it as soon as I could. The only thing is that maybe after the months of wanting to read it, that I couldn’t—before she published it—I think I may have built it up to unimaginable heights in my head.

Not that I did not enjoy it but perhaps I would have loved it had I not been waiting and anticipating being able to read it—finally—for so long.

Overall though I did like it, the novel starts out very enjoyable, we meet one of our main characters Alister Rowan and his family as they are trying to talk him into going to a vampire named Armand’s party so he can get an invitation to the next one. Being vampire Hunters, an invitation to a huge vampire party is an excellent opportunity for an ambush.

The only thing is that when Alister goes to the party his ‘pretty’ looks get him the attention of the host himself and finds himself ‘invited’ back to the next party.

This of course ends badly for Alister as Armand knows right away that it was him who led the others there, no matter though, as Armand still wants him very much, Alister on the other hand, is a Hunter and Hunters do not want to do anything more to vampires except kill them, most especially not kiss them… right?

As I said I liked it but at the same time, I think that the drawn out plot of Alister ‘deciding’ whether or not at first if he wanted to stay with Armand, then if he loved him was way to drawn out for the novel.

I would recommend this novel to anyone who is looking for a good male/male vampire romance, but be warned for those that are very attuned and annoyed by a couple misspelled words and other little problems, this novel does have a few that it the author over looked, nothing too bad and it did not bother me, but those who hate that sort of thing, even a little, might want to keep it in mind.
