The thing I hate about book swap places is…

I have to give my books away.

I do not know about anyone else but I am one of those people who can not give up one of my book, even if I have read--I might read it again some day.

My older sister does not really have this problem, she can't--and never has to my knowledge--re-read a book. So I think she would be pretty good at the whole BookSwap place.

Me? I even have trouble swapping books with my little sister who as you might guess live QUITE close to me considering we still live together.

At times like these I think about what I told my grandma the other day when she told me I should be saving my money instead of buy book; "I can't stop, books are like crack, I can get enough of 'em."

So I have to wonder do I have a problem. Would a psychologist look at me and see that I have issues or something?

Well frankly I don't really care if I do or not, just leave my books alone and if you know somewhere I can buy used book kind of like swap but not have to give my books away? You should definitely tell me, Zombies. Please?

I have found one place already called
Thriftbooks--this place is like my supplier. I can but like 20+ books there and not even get into the $100's.

Most of the books actually start at about $3.95 of course the price can go up depending on availability I suppose but most stay well below $10.00.

The only thing is sometimes they do not have books and when they get them they go kind of fast. Luckily they send out an email when ever a book from your wishlist is added so you know they have it now.

Do you know a place like Thriftbooks? Or even Goodreads Bookswap? (Hate that they closed that.)

If you do know a place similar, that I do not have to swap my books and the prices stay low let me know, please! :)

  2. I too love my books! Books actually helped me when I quit smoking, each day I would think "I have saved X number of dollars, I can buy X number of books. Then for my 6 month anniversary of quitting, I bought myself a Kindle to celebrate. Books are much better than smoking, LOL.

There is a place called half-priced books that sell used books for good prices (half of whatever the cover price is). I am not sure where you live but they have a website and physical stores also.
