Paige and her friend Rosa are out at a military bar in
In walks Casey. Over six foot tall of sexy younger man, Paige is entranced and after a wild night of the best sex she has had in year—if not ever—she can not seem to say no to him. But when her husband shows up unannounced in Japan though she suspects he is still sleeping with the woman he cheated on her with a while ago she still feels as though she can not leave him after so many years of marriage to be with Casey who loves her.
Sooner than expected though Paige must make a choice when she finds that her husband and Casey are not all they seem but actually vampires and she has been dragged into a vampire political battle of sorts with her choice between the two a main factor, and her choice may lead to the death of one. . .
I really enjoyed this novel it is my first by MaryLynn Bast and it is not going to be my last either.
One of the big reasons I like about this book? Most of the book is sex scenes! ;) And you all know I can not resist a good erotic sex scene.
Now not to be misleading, the whole book is not sex we do have a good bit of important plot going on—the author was just awesome enough to expand on those lovely sex scenes, and put in some good sexual tension before we get to them.
Overall I liked both Casey and Paige. Expecially Casey. I do have to admit though that this book did not reach five stars for me though because of one thing, Paige’s friend.
She was a pretty good character, in my opinion she just wasn’t a very good 'friend'. I felt that she should have been more open with Paige in a friend way. To me she just dragged Paige around and told her what to do. Secondly I wish there could have been more to the ending the last chapter really. Those ‘two days’ that we do not get to read about—it would have been nice to know what happened.
Altogether, I really liked One Bite To Passion. It was a quick, erotic read that I would recommend to anyone in the mood for such a novel with paranormal elements.
*I received a hardcover/paperback/eBook copy/ARC of this book for free to review from the author/publisher; this in no way influenced my review, all opinions are 100% honest and my own.

Thanks for the great review Holly.
ReplyDeleteIn book two I plan on going into Rosa's story and why she didn't tell Paige about what was going on. There is a method to my madness. Paige's last two days will also be discussed in book two as the story continues. Paige and Casey will face Dalton and Darcy again later in the series.

I don't normally read erotica but I do like vampires so I thought I would give it a chance. I am very glad that I did because I really did like it. I guess we need to try new or different things sometime. How are we gonna know if we like it or not. Thanks for the review.
