Interview with Linda Hays-Gibbs!

Holly: Holly: Hi Linda! Would you tell us a little bit about yourself?

Linda Hays-Gibbs: I have traveled extensively, all throughout the US and even overseas.
Holly: When did you realize that you would like to write and publish a book?

Linda Hays-Gibbs: I wrote poetry when I was very young but I never thought about publishing anything until my daughter told me to send it in to a publisher.

Holly: Can you tell us a little bit about your My Angel, My Light As Darkness Falls?

Linda Hays-Gibbs: My Angel, My Light As Darkness Falls is about a young girl growing up to life's realities.  It has her confronting death and hopelessness, falling in love with a vampire and later with a man.  She travels and finds a castle full of ghosts and demons.  She overcomes all with her faith and an Angel that God sends to her.  She finds true love and happiness.

Holly: Which came first for you, the characters or the plot?

Linda Hays-Gibbs: The plot came first.

Holly: What was the inspiration for this novel?

Linda Hays-Gibbs: I read about the last battle with Napoleon and I was horrified at the death toll.  I thought how would I deal with this if I was a young girl and lost someone in this battle back there on one of those battlefields.

Holly: Where can we purchase My Angel, My Light As Darkness Falls?

Linda Hays-Gibbs: Eternal Press | Amazon | Lybrary | Books A Million |
Holly: Can we expect more novels from you in 2012?

Linda Hays-Gibbs: Yes, I am currently working on The Devil is Real and the Dawn Rises

Holly: Are you working on anything at the moment?

Linda Hays-Gibbs: Yes, I am working on another one called: The Crazies

Holly: Are you reading anything interesting at the moment? If so, what is it?

Linda Hays-Gibbs: "Halo of the Damned"

Holly: Can you tell us a little about your first publishing experience?

Linda Hays-Gibbs: My first publisher was not what I had hoped they would be but my publisher now is the greatest. Eternal Press is the best. I am so please and excited to be a part of Eternal Press.

Holly: Do you think you may ever go into another genre?

Linda Hays-Gibbs: Regency Romance

Holly: Can you tell us a little about what attracted you to this genre?

Linda Hays-Gibbs: I love the Regency period but I am fantasy drawn into the paranormal and vampires.

Holly: Do you have anything you would like to say to your readers?

Linda Hays-Gibbs: I only hope I can entertain you is some way.  I would love nothing better than to send you to another time and reality.

Holly: Can you tell us a few do’s and don’ts for aspiring authors?

Linda Hays-Gibbs: Don't give you books to just any publisher, make sure they are good publishers

From Linda Hays-Gibbs: Linda is a Christian lady that loves to go to church.  There is no more fun than watching your kids in a Christmas pagent or your grandkids hunting Easter Egg or reciting bible verses and singing in front of church.  No one should miss the dawn breaking or the sun setting as they are so awe inspiring. I love to watch the birds, chattering to each other and building nests for their little ones.  Life is an adventure.

Random Quickies!

Holly: When do you prefer to read?

Linda Hays-Gibbs: At night

Holly: Vampires or Werewolves?

Character Interview with Lady Prudence Elizabeth White

Interviewer: Lady Pru, what made you fall in love with the vampire?

Lady Pru: Well, he comforted me when I needed someone the most.  He was there for me all throughout the dark night and he could kiss really nicely too.

Interviewer: What made you chose the man then?

Lady Pru: Well, I just did not have much choice actually; he would not let me chose. He really insisted and could kiss so very well too.

Interviewer: Well, Lady Pru you sound a little flippant about kissing these men.  Was there nothing else that persuaded you to choose?

Lady Pru: Well, there was the thought that I might be ruined, you know, that someone would see me or had seen me kissing, but I really had more to worry about right then.

Interviewer: What could possibly be more important than your reputation?

Lady Pru: My goodness, why the ghosts and demons and I had to eat, you know! Maybe consider that the vampire was a little changed.

Interviewer: I understand, I think.  Well, thank you so much Lady Pru for your time and truthful answers to our questions.

Lady Pru: Well, you are just so nice and I appreciate you asking all those questions. I think you just had to be there to understand.
