Interview with Cassandra Carr, author of Double Vision!

I am excited to have author Cassandra Carr visiting to talk about her book Double Vision! :)

Holly: Hi Cassandra! Would you tell us a little bit about yourself?

Cassandra Carr: Sure! I’m a multi-published, award-winning erotic romance writer. I’ve been published since March 2011 and just sold my 17th story. My works range from short stories to novels. I’m a huge hockey fan which creeps into some of my writing. I also write a series about bull riders and myriad other themes also pop up.

Holly: Can you tell us a little bit about your book Double Vision?

Cassandra Carr: Double Vision is book 3 of my Buffalo Intimidators hockey ménage series. This story follows Red, a young defenseman, and Fredrik, who’s reaching the end of his career. Fredrik and his girlfriend Liz have a ménage a trois with Red, who lives with Fredrik, and then all hell breaks loose from there!
Holly: Where can we purchase Double Vision?

Cassandra Carr: Siren offers our books on their website for a couple of weeks exclusively, and then it will go out to the major third-party distributors, including Amazon, Barnes& Noble, and All Romance eBooks. The link for it on the Siren website is

Holly: Can we expect more novels from you in 2012?

Cassandra Carr: Oh hell yes! I’ve got, I think, seven works sold that haven’t released, including Awakening, another BDSM holiday story where Jack and Callie from Caught make cameos, and Unexpected Top, a BDSM novella in which a woman initiates what’s called a female-led relationship to save her marriage. It’s a really interesting concept and I hope the readers enjoy it!

Holly: Are you reading anything interesting at the moment? If so, what is it?

Cassandra Carr: I’ve been on a HUGE male/male kick for the past couple of months. The best one I’ve read lately was Equation for Love by Fae Sutherland, but there have been so many good ones!

Holly: Do you think you may ever go into another genre?

Cassandra Carr: I’ve been playing around with writing male/male, but my author friends tell me if I do that I choose a second pen name, and frankly, it sounds exhausting to brand another name, so who knows?

Holly: Is there a genre that you love to read, and would like to write, but just can not?

Cassandra Carr: Historical romance. I love the Regency period but am far too lazy to do the research required to write it well. I admire authors who can do stuff like that.

Holly: Do you have anything you would like to say to your readers?

Cassandra Carr: I’d love to thank each and every one of you. You’re the reason I get up in the morning excited to sit down at the computer, you’re the reason I listen to the voices inside my head, and you’re the reason I recently told a friend I had no plans to go back to Corporate America. You all deserve a big kiss just for that!

Holly: What is your favorite part of writing?

Cassandra Carr: When the story starts pulling itself out of my head. That happened to an extreme degree with Awakening, the BDSM story releasing in December from Loose Id, and I wrote 45,000 words in ten days. I don’t recommend that, but man, what a rush! My fingers were flying. I had to stop one day when my brain was still writing but the rest of my body had quit.

Random Quickies!

Holly: When do you prefer to read?

Cassandra Carr: I literally read every chance I get, though I really like reading when I have a block of time to devote to it.

Holly: Ebook or hardcover/paperback?

Cassandra Carr: At this point, I’m an ebook girl, though I still have paperbacks. My Kindle Fire should be surgically attached to me, along with my smart phone.

Holly: Pepsi or Coke?

Cassandra Carr: Pepsi all the way, baby! I’m an addict. I don’t drink coffee, so I had to have something…

Holly: Dark Chocolate or Milk Chocolate?

Cassandra Carr: Mmmmm. Milk chocolate, poured over the abs of a hot man. Wait, did I just say that out loud?

Double Vision (Buffalo Intimadators #3)
by Cassandra Carr

Everything Red knew about relationships is called into question when he stumbles upon his roommate Fredrik and his girlfriend Liz going at it hot and heavy and Liz invites him to join them. Struggling with recovering from a knee injury, the young defenseman doesn't know what to make of his attraction to Liz--after all, she's his teammate's woman, right?

As an older player, Fredrik's been around the rink a time or ten, and he knows he has an awesome thing going with Liz. He envisions a future with her, but isn't sure how their interludes with Red fit into the long-term picture.

Liz thinks Fredrik's her forever-guy, but her sudden attraction to Red is causing doubts. The more they play together in the bedroom, the more their outside lives--and emotions-- become entangled. When the unthinkable happens, all three must take a hard look at what they want and make some surprising decisions in the process.

Cassandra Carr is a multi-published erotic romance writer who lives in Western New York with her husband, Inspiration, and her daughter, Too Cute for Words. When not writing she enjoys watching hockey and hanging out on Twitter.

Her December 2011 release, Caught, was named Best BDSM Book 2011 by LoveRomancesCafe. Her February 2012 release, Impact, was named the BDSM Book of the Month for May 2012 from BDSM Book Reviews.
