12:00 PM | Edit Post
Janiera enjoys feeding her book addiction when she not writing. She is also a book blogger at Beauty and Books where she mixes being a book nerd with keeping things chic. When not reading or writing she is freelance writing in the entertainment industry. When trying to relax she likes a huge yard sale on a Saturday morning, rainy days to read by and nacho cheese is her kryptonite. Soul Sisters is her debut novel.
Full Moon Bites Interview with Janiera Eldridge! :)
Holly: Hi Janiera! Would you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Janiera Eldridge: Hi Holly, thanks for having
me! I’m a 21 year-old girl that just wants to write for the rest of her life.
Making some money from it would be good too. I love living in my books
paranormal worlds and when I’m not writing I love reading the world other
people have created.
Holly: Can you tell us a little bit
about your vampire series?
Janiera Eldridge: Soul Sisters is a vampire novel with a
multi-cultural cast of characters about the bond between twins and what the
fight for power can lead to.
Holly: What was the inspiration for
this novel?
Janiera Eldridge: The inspiration for this
novel came out of my love for vampire novels and my need to see one with multi-cultural
characters. The vampire novels out there are great but the genre definitely
needs more diversity. So instead of just complaining (because I’m not going to
stop) I decided to write a book I would want to read.
Holly: Can we expect more novels
from you in 2012?
Janiera Eldridge: Yes, I’m currently working
for on a novella called Good Ghost Gone Bad. It’s about a ghost named Brianna
who joins forces with other ghost to take revenge against the serial killer
that murdered them. It’s extremely different than my vampire series, it’s raw.
I can’t wait to share this with everyone! I really hope to have it out by
December if not early 2013.
Holly: Are you reading anything
interesting at the moment? If so, what is it?
Janiera Eldridge: Detention of The Living of
the living Dead by Rusty Fisher. It is so funny and a really great zombie read.
Holly: Can you tell us a little
about your first publishing experience?
Janiera Eldridge: Horrible. The company turned
out to be a sham. I’m sticking with self-publishing from now on and would
suggest everyone research your publishing company before you sign a contract.
Holly: Can you tell us some of your
latest news, what are your plans for 2012/2013?
Janiera Eldridge: I hope to release Good Ghost
Gone Bad in late 2012, early 2013. The end of the Soul Sisters trilogy will be
coming next year.
