In Armed & Dangerous the Cut & Run series gets back to the mystery-action-thriller plot that we all know and love!

Special Agent Ty Grady is called on one of those undercover operations that are top secret and no one, not even his partner Special Agent Zane Garrett, can know about for Richard Burns the executive assistant director of the Criminal Investigative Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. (Wow, is that a long title or what?)

He is pulled out without even telling his partner and lover Zane that he is going undercover, leaving him with a note that only creates more frustrating questions and doubt. Especially since it was no longer than a day since Zane had told Ty he loved him.

Zane has been taking his frustration out in the gym until he is called in by Richard Burns himself to be back-up on an undercover operation. Given no other information than he would meet his contact in the airport he is shocked when he learns he is being brought in as back-up for Ty.

Their mission: find and bring in one Julian Cross, a retired hit man and wet-works operative by any means necessary, but quietly and alive.

They are told no other information than he has to be brought in to the FBI, to Richard Burns.

Richard has always kept things need to know on Ty’s covert missions, and

this one is no different. His long time friend has came to him for help, having been set up to take the fall for a ring of people in the CIA who has been taking money for personal hit jobs. The only person who is still alive that could bring the operation down is Julian Cross, and they have to get him before the CIA kill teams find him, too.

Ty and Zane find one way to bring Cross in without too much of a fight—his boyfriend, Cameron Jacobs. With the two prisoners they start their trek back to DC but it soon become clear that Cross is not going to come willingly.

Oh my. I loved Armed & Dangerous it really brought back something that I did not really realize was missing in the last book! The action, mystery and thriller plot that we have when people are trying adamantly to kill Ty and Zane! ^^

As I stated in my review of the last book, I did not think Divide & Conquer really focused on the bad guy plot, it seemed more like sub-plot to me with the main plot being Ty and Zane’s relationship. In Armed & Dangerous however the series really goes back to the bad guy plot like books 1-3. Not to say focusing on the relationship in the last book was bad—I loved it but admit I did kind of miss the bad guy plot that I have always associated with the Cut & Run Series. I did not even realize that it left a slightly off feeling to the last book until I picked Armed & Dangerous up.

Armed & Dangerous is different to the other books in that besides just Ty and Zane’s point-of-view and the ‘bad guys’ we also get Julian and Cameron’s POV as well.

I loved this OMG, Julian reminded me so much of Ty in personality and Zane in appearance. I have to admit that I found both him and Cameron fascinating to read about.

Julian is this big hulking killer, while Cameron is so innocent and sweet! I hope we have not seen the last of them. I can just see there is a book behind how they met, etc. just like there was for Ty and Zane.

As with each book we learn a little bit more about Ty and Zane’s past, mostly Ty in this one, about his time in Afghanistan. My heart really goes out to Ty, it always has because we have known pretty much since the start of this series that bad things have happened to Ty but in this book we learn about what happened to him and his friend Nick when they were prisoners of war.

Overall Armed & Dangerous is a moving-thrilling-action-packed-male/male romance-mystery novel that does the first books in the series proud.

This book, this series, will forever have a place on my bookshelf and Ty and Zane a place in my heart.

I would recommend this book to anyone who has read and liked the previous books in the series and I would recommend the Cut & Run series to anyone who is looking for a wonderful (and nigh unforgettable!) male/male romance/mystery read.

5 Moons!
