Length: 325 pages

Book Description:

It's said love can change a person. Medusa wasn't always a monster...

Medusa is ruled by duty, to her Titan father and the Goddess Athena. She's no room for the tenderness her warrior guard, Ariston, stirs. When Olympus frees her from service, her heart leads her into the arms of the guard she loves... and curses her as the creature with serpent locks.

Ariston goes to war with a full heart... and dreadful foreboding. He learns too late of the danger Medusa faces, alone, and a Persian blade sends him into the Underworld. But death, curses, nor the wrath of the Gods will keep him from returning to her.

Poseidon will use Greece's war to get what he wants: Medusa. He does not care that she belongs to another. He does not care that she will be damned. He is a God, an Olympian, and she will be his.

I am familiar with Greek Mythology. It is one of my favorite things to read about and because of that I know the story of Medusa pretty well. Of course there are always differences in the telling some things remain the same. Honestly I would be surprised if someone told me they did not know who Medusa was. Lol

That being said I was very anxious and excited to read Medusa, A Love Story and the feelings did not go away as I read. Though the story of Medusa and Ariston's love was both
moving and made me practically giddy with their happiness I knew something bad was going to happen. And happen it does, Both Medusa and Ariston go through so much heartache that I wanted to cry for them, did cry for them at times.

Medusa was a very beautiful woman and I do not mean in just looks. She was so sweet and innocent; happy. Her love to the Goddess Athena was given freely and even when she is, in my opinion, badly betrayed and used by those gods she still gives them her devotion. She has it bad from the start really, her father, a Titan, only used her to gain stuff. He traded her for a slave and then to the Goddess when he needed to make amends. Medusa did her duty though and served faithfully though.

Ariston was a warrior in ever sense of the word but his love for Medusa knew no bounds he fought with his ever breathe for them to be together; not even letting death take him away from her.

I have to admit that I was both appalled and angry with the Olympians at times but by the end was still utterly fascinated by the subplot going on surrounding Hades and, yes, even Poseidon.

Medusa, A Love Story by Sasha Summers is a heartwarming yet heart breaking tale that lived up to the real mythology surrounding Medusa while weaving a new tale of love, tragedy and the lengths some people are willing to go for their loved ones.

Medusa, A Love Story is not a book that any Greek Mythology lover should miss.

5 Moons!
