Book Description:

Celeste Garrett has finally found a happy balance in her life as the Chosen One, thanks in large part to a certain hunky Irishman. But if there’s any lesson she should heed since receiving her calling it’s that everything can change in the blink of an eye. Soon a terrible new threat, unlike anything she’s ever encountered, causes her to make a gut-wrenching choice that will strip her of someone she holds dear.

As much as she’d like to have a pity party for one, there’s no time for that now because wedding bells are ringing in Gainesboro! In between dress fittings and rehearsal dinners Celeste will have to fend off attacking demons and leering pirates. As if the Dark Army wasn’t scary enough our heroine is faced with the horrifying trauma of attending a bachelorette party with her mom and watching Grams do Jello shots. Is a walk down the aisle even possible for a member of the Garrett family when the Dark Army is out to destroy them? More importantly, will the Dark Army Glee Club sing at the reception?

Raise your glass to the happy couple, and get ready for a wedding…Conduit-style.

Oh, my, crazy Conduit-goodness! By far the best in the series yet! Sacrifice, the third book of the Gryphon series by Stacey Rourke, was packed full of action and some very emotional scenes. I was brought to tears more than once, enticed to anger and I cannot help but think Caleb must be the sexiest man with an Irish accent that ever walked the fictional earth!

Sacrifice picks up
pretty much right where book two left off; I’d highly recommend reading book one and two before picking up Sacrifice as there is a lot of stuff going on that probably would not make much sense if you didn’t.

Having read both book one and two I know all about Celeste Garrett being the Chosen One and her brother and sister and now hunky demon boyfriend.

Celeste’s life now that she has become the Chosen One is pretty crazy and right when she finds a balance of sort everything usually comes crumbling down. When it comes crumbling down in Sacrifice, it comes hard taking the one thing that made it all okay.

Add to that demons trying to kill her, not one but two demon army’s, her brother’s wedding, and you have a fun, fast paced amazing novel that I could not put down.

Of course there is also a certain pirate named Rowan running around that, after Celeste’s whole world comes crumbling down, helps keep it together. How far she can really trust the sexy, self-serving pirate is unknown and only time with let her know the truth.

Rowan has a kind of forbidden allure—whether it is because he is kind of a mystery and bad guy or that he was a pirate, I do not know. I love Caleb as a character and think he and Celeste are perfect for each other but Rowan has a certain appeal that just cannot be overlooked.

In each book of the series so far, the author has left us with an ‘oh my God this cannot be the end of the book!’ ending and Sacrifice is no different! I both loved and hated that. I want more now but my goodness the book was amazing!

Overall this is a must-read book if you have read book one and two of the series and I highly, highly recommend this series to anyone and everyone who is looking for a great read.
