Interview & #Giveaway: Mr. Prescott by Carlos Dash @CarlosDash1

Please help me welcome author Carlos Dash to Full Moon Bites for an interview and giveaway! Read on below for more info about Mr. Prescott by Carlos Dash

1- Hi! Would you tell us a little bit about yourself?

Answer: Sure. My name is Carlos Dash. I write New Adult Romance novels. There aren’t many men writing for that genre, but I believe in doing what you’re passionate about, so here I am. My influences for writing in that genre are Penny Wylder and Alexa Riley. Hmm. Let’s see, what else. I live in Florida. I like to do all of my writing outside on my patio- that way I can look out at the beautiful blue lake there for inspiration. I’ve been obsessed with reading stories from others and creating stories of my own since I was a teenager. Books were an escape for me during some tough times when I was a teen, so that’s what drove me. I believe being a storyteller is my calling. It’s what I was put on this earth to do.

2- Do you have anything you would like to say to your readers?

Answer: Yes. I want my readers to know that I appreciate them. And I want potential readers to know that if they enjoy stories about people falling in love quickly, my stories are for them- especially if they’ve got a thing for male protagonists who like to guard their hearts and do their best not to fall in love (but of course they fall in love anyway).

3- What do you do when you are not writing?

Answer: Living in Florida, I like to sail, go to the beach, go to the movies, and otherwise just relax outdoors with my friends.

4- Do you write an outline before starting a book or just write?

Answer: Yes. I create a one page outline. To be more specific, I write down an outline in an old journal. I keep that journal next to me at all times when I’m typing on my computer. I don’t need to look at the journal very often since the story is already thoroughly mapped out in my head, but it’s good to have it there.

5- Is there an author or book that influenced you or your writing in any way growing up or as an adult?

Answer: Growing up, my favorite authors were J.K. Rowling and Stephen King. Even as a teenager, I loved King’s horror stories. There’s nothing quite like being scared to give one an adrenaline rush. Now, as an adult and a writer of romance stories, Penny Wylder and Alexa Riley are my main sources of influence and inspiration. I also love the work of Nicholas Sparks.

6- I know authors get asked this a lot but do you have any advice that you would give to aspiring writers?

Answer: The best advice I can give any writer is to write what you’re passionate about. Don’t just go after what’s popular and what sells, because trends in writing come and go. One day one thing might be popular, the next day a completely different genre might be popular.

7- Which came first for you, the characters or the plot?

Answer: Technically, both. I had an idea about a handsome politician from England coming to the states on a business trip and falling in love with a woman who works in a bookstore. After that, I fleshed everything out- like which city the story would take place in, and how long it would take the male protagonist to admit to himself that he had fallen for her.

8- Do you believe in love at first sight?

Answer: Although I’ve never seen it happen in real life, I’m an idealist, so yes I do believe in love at first sight. But the thought of me falling in love with someone at first sight is quite daunting. I have no idea how I would react in that situation.

9- Where can we purchase this book?

Answer: The book, titled “Mr. Prescott” will be available for purchase from amazon.com in August. Here’s the link to the book’s page:

You can preorder it now.

10- Are you working on anything at the moment?

Answer: Much like my favorites, Penny Wylder and Alexa Riley, I plan on releasing a new book every 8 weeks or so. I’ve already begun work on my next novel.

11- Can you tell us about your main character?

Answer: My main character is a man by the name of Nathan Prescott. He’s the youngest mayor in the history of London. When we first meet Nathan, he’s visiting New York on a business trip. The last thing on his mind is falling in love, but life works in strange ways.

12- What is your favorite part of writing?

Answer: My favorite part of writing is the actual act of sharing the ideas in my head with others. It both relaxes and energizes me at the same time.

Thanks for having me on.

Mr. Prescott
Carlos Dash
Publication date: August 20th 2017
Genres: New Adult, Romance

I’m the Mayor of London.
I’ve come to New York purely on business. The usual boring meetings with other politicians.
I don’t expect my time here to be exciting in the slightest.

But who’s that woman I met this morning? No, girl. That would be a more accurate term for her.
She’s only twenty-one years old. A college student. Someone who shouldn’t get mixed up with a guy like me.

But I can’t get her out of my mind. Every single time I close my eyes, I see her face.
How can someone I just met do this to me? That’s the kind of stuff that happens in movies. Not real life.

I know this will be a dangerous risk for me, but I can’t help it. I want her. I need her.
And whatever it may do to my career, I won’t stop until I have her.

Mr. Prescott is a standalone New Adult Romance novel told entirely from the point of view of the male lead.

Author Bio:
I’m a guy who likes to cut right to the chase, so here we go: I’m a male author of Romance/Erotica novels that are told entirely from the POV of the male protagonist. If you enjoy happy endings and steamy tales about people falling in love quickly, my stories are for you.
